    hello!

I am currently using Depicter in combination with HivePress and ListingHive to create a custom post display on my website. I have successfully set up a carousel in Depicter to display listings from specific categories, but I am facing an issue with displaying the price of the listings.

I have followed the steps to create custom posts and selected the appropriate category for each listing. However, when I attempt to display the price using the hp_price field from HivePress, the price is either not displayed or shows as “Price not available” despite the fact that the price is entered in the admin panel for each listing.

Could you please provide guidance on how to correctly display the price in the Depicter carousel? Should I be using a different shortcode or method for displaying the price field in the listings?

Additionally, if there are any compatibility issues or configuration steps I might have missed, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Thank you for your help and support!

    Best regards,

    Hi,

I hope you are doing fine.

First of all, great job on setting up such an advanced custom post slider with Depicter, HivePress, and ListingHive! It sounds like you’ve put a lot of work into building a highly customized experience, and it’s awesome to see how you’ve combined these tools together.

    Regarding your question:

Custom post types, along with their custom fields and taxonomies, are automatically recognized in Depicter — no extra configuration is needed. It doesn’t matter whether they were created using a plugin like ACF or added by a third-party plugin like HivePress.

Also, you don’t need to use a shortcode element to pull custom field values. As long as the custom post type and its fields are properly registered, they should appear in Depicter’s dynamic content panel, and you can simply add any field directly to your slides.

Since the price field isn’t displaying correctly for you, here are a few things you might want to double-check:

    • Make sure the hp_price field is actually available in the post object and is correctly populated.
    • Check if the price field is stored as a plain text/meta field or in a more complex way (some plugins store data differently, which might need special handling).
    • Ensure there aren’t any caching issues — sometimes, newly added fields take a moment to show up if the site or builder cache isn’t cleared.

If after checking these the issue persists, feel free to share a few more details or a screenshot, and I’ll be happy to guide you further!

Thanks again for reaching out and for your impressive work so far!
