Issue with displaying Polish diacritics

Hello,

I’m using Crimson Text font for my website. I checked it directly on Google Fonts with sample text containing Polish diacritics – it works fine there. However when I used it on my website (WP 4.9.8 + Divi 3.14) it substitutes some of the diacritics with from a different font family.

How should I tackle this issue?

Hi Kacper,

I’m not sure if the font you have chosen supports diacritics, see the specimen here – https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Crimson+Text

If a character doesn’t exist in the font family the browser will use the next fallback font (Georgia) in this case.

tkanks for responding. As I said before, I’ve checked that prior to choosing Crimson font. It seems to be supporting diacritics – look: https://imgur.com/a/9CpBLkh

I’m not sure how Google have been able to do that, but I have put together a basic test and it does seem it doesn’t work – https://codepen.io/dannycooper147/pen/wEmaoW

I have contact the Google Fonts team regarding this. I will follow up on this ticket if they respond.
