Issue with dark mode on devices already using dark mode features

    Hi, your plugin is really cool & seems to have great flexibility in settings, but I found some issue when trying on a website. When we see it in device with already using dark mode (tested on chrome set to dark mode) in this case it does not make the website to light mode.

    What I am saying is, after enabling this plugin one should have both the options on frontend whether user is using system default dark mode or light mode.

    In system default light mode or Browser running with default light mode have no issues, but with default dark mode browser or system settings this plugin is not working.

    Let’s say if a user with default dark mode device wants to access light mode using this plugin button toggle, he will not be able to use the feature if it’s not making it white background, etc.

    Can’t we do this with free version itself?

    Hi, just checked on every possible browser on android device, and I found that only these > Chrome, Chrome Canary, Samsung browser & Opera touch, with devices default dark mode has problems, no other browsers.

    So, can this be solved? Or any other ways?

    Hi, @jakirriaaz can I know if there’s any tweak around this?

    Also, wp hive report shows some memory usage issue. I hope you guys work around this issue.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Please make sure the ‘Enable OS aware Dark Mode’ setting is off to resolve this issue. Hopefully, your mentioned issue will be solved. See the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/I6q4Tu9RinP2

    Secondly, thank you for your nice catch about the memory usage issue. We will work on minimal impact on memory usage soon in the near future as well.
