    Hello,

I need a help for restoring my posts’ appearing into the Blog page…

I have got the installed the WPML Pro related plugins.
One of them is WPML CMS Nav. I have set my site and the site was working well but I needed to use the automatic navigation without adding additional code that is required for WPML CMS Nav. Also my theme (Esteem) is optimized to use Breadcrumb NavXT.

Here is why I decided to install Breadcrumb NavXT. After activating Breadcrumb NavXT, I noticed some message that the indexes are outdated (or something like that) and there was some kind of request to update them.
Unfortunately, after that my created posts stopped appearing into the dedicated Blog page (http://leanify.com/blog/) and I do not know what to do. I tried several things (deactivating and activating WPML CMS Nav, Breadcrumb NavXT) but without success…
I have even deleted Breadcrumb NavXT. I reset the Posts page to point to some of the other pages (in Settings -> Reading -> Posts page) – the issue persists and the posts are not shown there.

    My site is http://leanify.com
It uses the latest versions of:
    WordPress (4.3)
    WPML CMS Nav (1.4.11)
    Breadcrumb NavXT (5.2.2)

Could you please help me somehow?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Lyubomir

Do you remember where you saw the “I noticed some message that the indexes are outdated (or something like that) and there was some kind of request to update them.” message? Breadcrumb NavXT does not display messages outside of its settings page, other than a message notifying you if you are running PHP5.2 or older. On the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page, a message along the lines of “Your settings need to be upgraded, upgrade now” should appear on first activation, and after every Breadcrumb NavXT update. This only affects Breadcrumb NavXT’s settings, and nothing else.

As for you actual issue, have you verified that under Settings > Reading that the Posts Page is set to “Blog”? Additionally, have you tried visiting Settings > Permalinks and pressed the “Save Changes” button (fill force a refresh of permalinks that occasionally cause issues like this)?

I have cought what causes the issue – WPML related plugins.
I was wrong when it is caused by Breadcrumb NavXT plugin. I have recalled that after installing the Breadcrumb NavXT I updated WPML to the newest version and after that I started the setup of Breadcrumb NavXT and noticed the problem.

So, I did a clear WordPress installation yesterday and installed only WPML pluggins bundle. The problem did not appear.
After a while, the system noticed that there is a newer version of WPML (Version 3.2.6) and I updated it. Then the problem appeared:
I expected to see: My blog with all collected posts there.
Instead, I got: “Ready to publish your first post? Get started here.”

Finally I deinstalled WPML and the problem with my Blog page has been resolved.

So, to summ it up – The problem with the Blog appears either because the newest vweriosn of WPML (Version 3.2.6) has some bug or there is some bug into the upgrade procedure. The problem dissappears after deleting WPML plugins.
