Issue when using a Child Theme

    I tried to activate a child them and the asset folder did not auto generate. I created it manually but the navigation changes completely. it seems the less CSS is not compiling.

    Please see before and after. The big black box nav is the incorrect option. using the child theme.

    The white background nav with black text is correct with the parent them. what can I do here? Why is this happening?
