• Hi guys,

I’ve tried publishing one of my apps to Apple app store and have received an email back with a problem in the package. I had forwarded the email to premium support (ticket #1525) and have not had a response back so trying this avenue. My app package is biz.buildapps.TeMatatiniApp

and have the following email from Apple:

    Dear developer,

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for “Haka Connection”. To process your delivery, the following issues must be corrected:

Missing Info.plist key – This app attempts to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app’s Info.plist must contain an NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data.

Missing Info.plist key – This app attempts to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app’s Info.plist must contain an NSBluetoothPeripheralUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data.

Missing Info.plist key – This app attempts to access privacy-sensitive data without a usage description. The app’s Info.plist must contain an NSCameraUsageDescription key with a string value explaining to the user how the app uses this data.

Though you are not required to fix the following issues, we wanted to make you aware of them:

Missing Push Notification Entitlement – Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature’s entitlements do not include the “aps-environment” entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the “aps-environment” entitlement. Xcode 8 does not automatically copy the aps-environment entitlement from provisioning profiles at build time. This behavior is intentional. To use this entitlement, either enable Push Notifications in the project editor’s Capabilities pane, or manually add the entitlement to your entitlements file. For more information, see https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/NetworkingInternet/Conceptual/RemoteNotificationsPG/HandlingRemoteNotifications.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40008194-CH6-SW1.

Once the required corrections have been made, you can then redeliver the corrected binary.

I am also waiting on my app package for another of my premium domains that I have. This one is also a gold subscription and is biz.buildapps.waiatamai and would appreciate if you could arrange this to be done so I can get it published.

    Thanks

    Hi Dave

Thank you for contacting me by email and letting me know that there were some manual steps that needed to be done for the “privacy capabilities”. I also needed to manually enable the Push Notifications in Xcode as this setting is not pulled from the Provisioning Profile. Will we as publishers using WordApp need to do this every time we publish to IOS Store going forward?

Also, can you please follow up on my request for published app for biz.buildapps.waiatamai as this is another premium subscription that I am waiting on. It’s well over 24 hours now and there is urgency behind this request.

Any help you can give on both matters would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi there,
    Thanks for your message.

I have just sent you the second app again. Sorry you didn’t get my first email. Yes, you need to turn on the push notifications in xCode every time.

This is a little new feature of xCode which makes things easier. I will be redoing the videos this month.
