What other changes were made on your site except for WP update? Did you migrate your site, set up custom domain option or change any other configuration of your site?
I didn’t change anything.
But It is okay, I just have few images so I can upload again.
Can you try to disable third-party plugins to investigate the issue?

I have Version 2.1.9 and disabled File URL Replacement.
It is highly likely that File URL Replacement was used to replace media URL with GCS URL on the fly. But disabling it caused the problem.

If I used File URL Replacement: Disable, then the thumbnail image in the Media Admin didn’t show up.
