• I am planning to use the plugin Disable Media Pages:
    – as I have no need for standalone media pages and rather anyhow only integrate media into pages or posts
    – and would benefit from media not taking valuable slugs on the top level which I prefer to use for pages.

Is your plugin Media Duper compatible with that plugin?
    – My gut feeling tells me there could be conflicts but not necessarily.
    – A first assessment by you would already be very appreciated. Simply from reading the plugin description which by principle lays out how it achieves its functionality plus you knowing how your plugin works.
    – If you can give an answer from a deeper inspection and/or practical side-by-side testing, even better of course. 😉

    Hi @abitofmind,

We haven’t tested it in combination with that specific plugin, but I would not expect there to be any issues — that plugin interacts more with WordPress’s URL rewriting system and so shouldn’t conflict with Deduper’s work that relates to file uploading. Of course, if you run into an issue, let us know, but I’d be surprised if there was a direct conflict.

    1) Thanks for your theoretical assessment!
    2) I will refrain from the practical side-by-side test for now as I currently don’t have a need for Disable Media Pages, it only may be a future option.

The topic therefore is resolved for me. But I leave it open, so that interested readers, who may really try it out, can immediately add their posts here, having the relevant context already.
