Support » Plugin: WP Super Cache » [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Is WP Super Cache compatible with IIS 6's compression?

    Hi.

I run a WordPress blog on IIS using the WP Super Cache plugin. I know IIS has its native way of compressing files, found under Web Sites Properties > Service.

Is it safe to switch them on or there might be a conflict with the plugin, which, according to the source of my pages is using gzip to compress pages?

    Thank you.

If you let IIS compress the pages then turn off compression in the plugin. I don’t have access to IIS so I can’t test it however.

Can you please indicate from where to turn compression off in the plugin and whether it’s a recommended move to do?

    Thank you.

It’s on the advanced settings page!

“Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors”

Recommended? Try doing both and see which works best. The plugin might be better because the cached page is stored compressed however.
