Is Worspress suitable?

    Hello All

    I am developing a new website and I’m not sure if wordpress is well suited for this. I have used wordpress in the past for smaller sites of a different nature and had no problems.

    However, for the new project I would need to set it up so I could register about 1200 students, allow these students to access a specific page that will have a youtube video embedded and also allow them to leave comments.

    My main concern is that at the time of the live class about 600 students will login and access the same page to watch the video.

    My secondary concern, is the hosting. I do not think a shared hosting package would be able to deal with these demands so I think a VPS would be required? Would 1GB of RAM be enough?

    Any advise, would be grealy appreciated!

    If your videos are hosted on youtube, then this shouldn’t be an issue. Youtube is the one that will need the bandwith, so it’s a non issue.
