Is WordPress Download Monitor compatible with WPMU?

  • Hi Mike,

Just wondering if there are any issues with using WordPress Download Monitor with WPMU?

No reports of any at the moment; although I have never tested it I know that some people do use it with MU.

Just tested WordPress Download Monitor on WPMU with the custom download URLs option enabled on two blogs.

And while custom download URLs work on the first WPMU blog (blog id #1), using custom download URLs on another WPMU blog do not work properly.

It’s probably something to do with the .htaccess RewriteRule.

If you disable custom download URLs on the second blog, it works; but I’d like to see further compatibility with WPMU for this option.

Something to look at for a future release.

I tried it with my wpmu site using subdirectory configuration. The filebrowser outputs a faulty URL as it puts the blog URL in front of the path. It works OK when I edit the URL manually.

However, when I edit the URL manually, file size probing ceases working instead. I imagine it’s not hard to hack up a fix though.

I imagine it should work just fine with subdomain configuration.
