Yes, you can create multiple sliders, and then add a different slider to different pages. By definition a ‘slider’ has a single slide displayed on-page at a time, whilst a ‘carousel’ has multiple slides displayed ‘on-page’ at a time. To make a ‘slider’ you must make sure that you set all the values within the ‘Items Displayed’ box (on the right-hand side of the slider-edit page) to 1.

The content for each slide can be whatever you want it to be, so within the visual editor box for each slide, you can paste-in (or enter) the page content of those sub-pages you mentioned. Using the WordPress visual editor to enter slide content provides a lot of flexibility, and it means you are not tied-down to any specific slide layout, and each slide within a single slider can have totally different content and a different layout from other slides.

Also note that if you do not want the slider to automatically switch between slides – the user has to press the slider arrows or pagination circles below the slider to change slides, then set the ‘Slide Duration’ setting in the ‘Slider Settings’ box to 0. This disables slider autoplay.
