Is this trackback spam? How to delete it?

    When I click on the Comment button for any of the entries in my blog I see a banner ad for a plumbing course or the like. Is this what people mean by trackback spam?

    Anyway, how can I delete it? I delete ordinary spam but this is something different. (WP 1.5 if that makes any difference.)

    Those are Google ads – AdSense. Either you, or someone else with access to your site has signed up for them, and added the code to your template.

    Thanks for this pointer. I found that the code is part of the cleanbreeze template. I’ve now commented them out.

    Someone’s distributing themes with their adsense code? That’s gotta be against Google’s TOS…..

    No idea about this; I didn’t know about it till now. I’ve found that there is a configuration script in Cleanbreeze which allows you to turn this off.
