Is this theme wrong for pages links?

  • Hi all,
    http://lanksheardesign.com/blog/

I’ve been trying to find a way to turn on the pages links so I can see a pages Navbar on the side. This is just a test blog, but my friends running this group insist on this Newspress theme. Does anyone know if I’m just driving the software wrong, if any “widgets” or things need to be added, or if it’s actually the Newspress theme?
I think Newspress is a purchased theme, so I’m not sure how many of you will know how to fix it. 🙁

(I’ve been working on this for a while, and always seem to get lost in the maze of hyperlinking and definitions that is the wordpress lessons codex.)

Is there a widget or something I can download to have a neat Navigation Bar for the pages?

Are you still talking about the newspress theme? And what do you mean by “neat navigation bar for the page”?

    Hi all,
Sorry about all this… it seems the “Newspress” theme is not ‘widget ready’ for pages. I just ran a test, and other themes do everything I need automatically when I turn on the pages widget… the pages show up in the side navigation bar the way they are meant to.

BTW — is there a way to modify that widget so that the page “parents” are only visible, and all the second and third level sub-pages only become visible when we hover over?
