I am new to Worpress and just took over my company website. There are a lot of glitches in the site such as extra spaces, alignments, etc. I tried to fix the html but nothing changes. Just ran into this plugin and installed it. Before I use it, wanted to make sure it is the right tool to use. If so, will it affect the live site when I do a search and can I just do search on individual pages rather than the whole site? Judging from my questions, you can tell I’m very green…Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

It sounds like this won’t do what you are looking for, no. From my understanding you are looking to make adjustments to individual pages, while this plugin is to help users find their way in the underlying code of the site.

Your best approach would be to go to the page you wish to make changes to, while logged in, and there should be an admin bar at the top of your screen with a quick-link to edit that page or post.

As for alignments, that could likely be solved using some CSS, if the theme isn’t one you’ve made your self, such changes can end up being overwritten when the theme receives updates. In such cases you could use the Additional CSS field in the Customizer (found under Appearance > Customize in the admin interface).
Of course, if it is a self-developed theme, such changes should be made to your codebase, but from your explanation this may not be an option in your particular scenario?
