Is this possible with Subscribe2

    OK, here’s the following, on http://www.bcgeldrop.nl.

    * i have manually added 160 email addresses as ‘Public subscribers’
    * they receive EACH new post on the blog in EACH category
    * every day i notice that people sign off (which is okay) because they receive too many mails on categories that are not on their interest.

    Is it possible to give these 160 public subscribers the option to chose which categories they would like to receive news on? My feelings says it’s not, because they are no WordPress users with a profile.

    I hope my question is clear.

    @rob,

    Your inclination is correct, Public Subscribers cannot chose category based notifications, for that they must register.

    You could consider excluding some of your categories from generating emails in the Settings page or consider using a daily digest email to reduce the volume of emails.
