Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
In WordPress default functionality, if a user logs in to subsite A and switches to subsite B, they won’t be logged in automatically. However, we have a feature in our all-inclusive plan where you can enable this functionality. Please find a detailed explanation of the feature below:
Let’s say you have one main site and four subsites, and you want a user who logs in to the main site to be automatically created on two of the subsites. With our plugin, this case can be achieved. Similarly, if you want a user who logs in to one of the subsites to be created on multiple subsites and the main site, the same can be achieved.
Please send us a query through the support form inside the plugin so that we can reach out to you via email for better assistance and a faster response.
Thank you
Hi @cyberorange:
You wrote: “In WordPress default functionality, if a user logs in to subsite A and switches to subsite B, they won’t be logged in automatically.”
That is not 100% true, if we have single domains for each subsites the default WordPress Multisite functionality is to log out the users. Only in case you use subdomain the user is not logged out (which we don’t have).
A User synchronization between the main and the subsites we already do have (with a another plugin).
So my question remains: In the FREE version of your plugin, is it possible that the user remains logged in when he switched from subsite A to subsite B (if they have completly different domains) ?
Hello @keramikoch,
In my previous response, I have considered the user registration, i.e., if the user is not present on the subsite, he/she won’t be logged into the subsite.
The functionality I discussed is not present in the free version of the plugin. You need to go for the paid version. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you
Hello,
Thank you for providing a detailed explanation.
As per your description, it seems that you have distinct top-level domains for each subsite, and you would like users to be automatically logged in when switching between subsites. If my understanding is accurate, this functionality can be achieved through Single Sign-On (SSO). However, please note that this feature is exclusively available in the paid version of the plugin.
Kindly inform me if you would like to proceed with this solution so that I can offer further assistance accordingly.
I look forward to your reply.
Thank you.
