    Hi!

    I created a really cool Lead Generation slide-in with this plugin a few years ago, and I’d need something similar again now. However, I get a warning saying that this plugin hasn’t been tested with several of the last major WP updates, so I was wondering: is the plugin still supported, or should I look for another one?

    Hi vonJanne,

    I’m not actively developing it, but I am here still for support. If you notice any issues, let me know here on these forms. As far as I know, it still works with the latest WordPress, I just haven’t updated the file WordPress uses to make that determination in a while.

    I’m not quite sure if it works, actually:

    I built it into a site which runs on WP 5.6.2 with Avada. There it works.

    I also built it into a site which runs on WP 5.7 with Impreza: http://bastelbusters.at/.
    Here the label shows (bright green thing on the right hand side), but when I click on it, nothing happens. Do you think it could be a problem with WP 5.7?

    Also: Is there a way to translate the word “CLOSE”? I tried LocoTranslate, but it couldn’t find the string.

    It looks like WordPress 5.7 makes changes to jQuery, and those changes might be incompatible with this plugin. I will try to spend some time in the next few days to put out a fix.

    As for the translation, I do know that it cannot be translated through the admin. This feature has been at the top of my TODO list for ever, but like I said, I’m not actively developing it anymore. The workaround is to go into the plugin files (either through FTP or through the WP Plugin Editor) and change it in the code. When I put out the jQuery fix, I may put out a fix for the translation too.

    Good news, @vonjanne! I have released a version 2.0 which removed jQuery dependencies. Once you update to that on bastelbuster.at, you should be good to go.

    It was more laborious than I realized, so I didn’t get to include the translation aspect with this release. I did however put instructions in the plugin’s FAQs on how to change the text.

    Hope this resolves your issues. Let me know if you notice anything wrong, or if your problems persist.

    Works like a dream, thanks!! (Also the changing of the word CLOSE).

    If you’re working on another update, please consider adding an option to place it “Everywhere EXCEPT [page-id, post-id, …]”
    I use it for a contact CTA, and therefore I’d like it to NOT show on the contact page.
    Or if it’s used to promote a newsletter, one might want to NOT show it on the newsletter sign up page.

    But I’m happy with how it works now also, thanks for quick support!
