Is this plugin dead?

    Hello!

    I see that Heatbeat Control has not been updated for over 2 years(!) now, and I was wondering if it will get any future updates and be maintained with new features, and most importantly new security updates.

    Since many hack attacks rely on holes and vulnerabilities of plugins, using outdated plugins could be a a big risk for getting your site hacked.

    Please let me know.

    It’s not entirely dead or alive. I’ve been working on a new version from time to time, but of course with it being completely free, it’s something that’s going by pretty slowly.

    The plugin should work entirely as intended on all current versions of WordPress.

    Hopefully, I’ll get around to releasing something new soon.

    Just disable heartbeat in functions.php

    We don’t need it.

    Maybe a small maintenance update is an idea? Just to show the plugin still works and is supported and compatible with the recent versions of WP.
