# is this Permalink error?

 * i have changed my WP site permalinks eg: [http://www.mysite.com/category/post-name/](http://www.mysite.com/category/post-name/)
   
   but when i post a topic with multiple categories eg: _[http://www.mysite.com/category/post-name/](http://www.mysite.com/category/post-name/)_
   and _[http://www.mysite.com/category-2/post-name/](http://www.mysite.com/category-2/post-name/)_,
   than the Google Webmaster tools reports it as an error under **Html Improvement**
   tab that this is “Duplicate title tags” of this post, does these error affect
   SEO ranking of a site and does it lower the Traffic? please explain if there 
   is a way to control these error, any help will be appreciated, Thanks

 * When you assign a post to 2 categories, it will be accessible via 2 URLs therefore
   Google assumes they are 2 pages with the same exact content.
 * From the SEO point of view, it is not recommended to have 2 pages with identical
   content.
 * Alternatively redirect the post on one category to the other.
