 * Greetings, first of all i was glad that more programmers are working on the big
   google image hotlinking issue and solutions for it via wordpress.
 * It is no real solution since the google update should not have been as it is
   but i guess we all ahve to see what can be done beside being angry.
 * I installed Imaguard today and it works but i wondered about one thing
 * When i click on the “original size” link @ google i am not seeing the image inside
   a post of my website, but the big version like it was before at google, the only
   difference is that it is darkend like the “thumb” and has the text on it i added
 * This makes some people visiting my website i guess but it should not be like
   that or?
 * Most of my images are relative big, over 500×500 pixels and to see the fullsized
   versions people on my site have to click the smaller version first
 * Greets from Germany, if your plugin comes really handy for me i will try to support
   you.

 * Hi there!
 * Glad you are using our Imaguard plugin. With Imaguard you have two options:
 * 1 Aggressive protection. This will cause your image to show a text on top of
   a blurred version if accessed from outside your own site (hotlinked) and the
   referrer is not on your whitelist.
 * 2 Non-aggressive protection which will redirect the user to a blog style post
   of your image if they access the image directly.
 * What most people do with the aggressive protection is to place the text “click
   to see” on top of the blurred image. In Google Image Search, if you click the
   image, you will be taken directly to the blog post where google found the image
   in the first place.
 * You can emails us on [admin@imaguard.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/is-this-intentional/admin@imaguard.com?output_format=md)
   if you have problems or questions. If you like the plugin we would appreciate
   a star rating on the wordpress plugin site [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/imaguard/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/imaguard/)
   and also if your plugin works with your WP version that you vote for “working
   with x.x.x” so that more people can fight back at image leeching!

 * Heya, yes i understood the protection methods, however the “original size” link
   on google does not link to the blogstyle post, instead the darkened “watermarked”
   version is shown above the usual google black background, it is not a part of
   my website. Thats what i meant with it being intentional
 * The aggressive protection works flawless btw, you found a better solution there
   than other coders so far (as i know) The star rating is yours i also promoted
   your plugin on two websites seen mostly by webmasters.

 * Thank you so much for the star rating and your kind words!
 * When you run the aggressive protection clicking the “original size” in Google(
   instead of clicking the actual image saying f ex “click here) will take the user
   to a large version of the image with the watermark.
 * In the non-aggressive protection, though, clicking “original size” will actually
   take the visitor to a post style preview of the image.
 * The reason for this is that the watermark is done through a redirect. Although
   it is possible to do different redirects based on referrer and user-agent, so
   that google could hotlink the watermarked image, while a visitor visiting the
   watermarked image would still be redirected, at this point Imaguard is not offering
   this functionality. We may include something like that later, but for now we
   want to keep the program logic fairly simple until we have more users and more“
   live” feedback and can get some of the inevitable bugs and small issues fixed.
 * Thanks again!

 * Ah, thats why ^^
 * I thought both options would work at the same time, with the images being watermarked
   but still direct to the website post solution
 * stop the thanks already 😉 If there is someone to thank its you since a lot of
   us bloggers/webmasters/photographers/artists have no real clue about coding and
   face serious problems at the moment because the damn google update.

 * Thanks! There are some bug fixes coming out in a day or two as v 1.2.2 but if
   you meanwhile have any problems, just contact us.
 * I’m marking this issue as resolved for now 🙂
