    You should ask SEO questions to the search engines themselves. Google for example have their own forums: http://groups.google.com/forum

    I think google don’t like hidden content because if it’s hidden, it’s useless for the user 😉

    It’s certainly better than hiding the content altogether.

    i.e. display:none

    It won’t necessarily harm you, but if you can get the content on there without any overflow, then it’s worth doing so in my opinion.

    I agree with Elsa. Anything you do is intended to boost search results and does not add value to the user will very likely end up penalizing your site in the long run.
