I don’t really use widgets, so maybe it is just my ignorance.
I was testing the deafult sidebar widgets plugins and wanted to display RSS feeds.
Dragged it to the sidebar, added the feed’s URI, gave the (optional) title, and set to show 5 items.

    Here came my surprise!
On the site there was the well-known RSS icon as a link to the feed. That’s fine.
However, what I gave as a “title” – became a link to the blog itself? Why? (I dont’ want this)
Furthermore, it displays 5 posts titles below, as if it would be a “recent posts” thing. (I dont’t want this either)

Did I miss something? Or this is the expected behaviour of that widget?
    I’d appreciate any enlightenment 🙂

  • Yep, that’s basically what it does. Shows the “x” most recent articles in the feed.

Not in the feed! It displays a list of the recent posts (title as link) in the sidebar

Well, I totally misunderstood that widget 🙂
I wanted to display the blog’s own feeds, while this widget is for displaying feeds from other sites.

(Yes, I know, the Meta does what I wanted; it’s just that it does more than that – I wanted only the feeds nothing else.)
