Is there a wildcard when excluding external links, or do you need to manually enter each URL you want to exclude from a site?

    Hi,

Thank you for using WP External Links! There is no wildcard but URLs will be matched if they contain the text entered into the Exclude/Include external links by URL box.
For example if you want to Exclude the 2 external URLs https://domain.com/excluded/somepage and https://domain.com/excluded/anotherpage you can do any of the following:
    – Add both those URLs to the Exclude box
    – Add just https://domain.com/excluded/
    – Or even just https://domain.com/ if you want to exclude the whole domain

That’s great,,, that’s what I wanted to know
it’s the equivalent of Regex https://site.com/.*

Adding a short explanation underneath the URL box in the plug-in could help explain how it handles exceptions better, if I remember correctly, currently it’s using the phrase “exact” URL that’s what threw me off, it gave me the impression that I need to enter the exact URL of each URL I want to exclude.

rather than just the root, to exclude the entire website.
    thanks for the clarification 👍
