Here is the comparison..It reduces the number of files and calls but, seems not compress them (no reduction in the size)

Before installing the plugin…
Too many css files (12 files found).
Total CSS size
334 kb (319.427 of external css / 14.827 of internal css)

After Installing the plugin…
You may have too many css files (3 files found).
Total CSS size
334 kb (318.675 of external css / 14.827 of internal css)

compression is done on a webserver level and should be automattic when on Apache, else deactivate the “static files” option.

not entirely sure about the meaning of “external” vs “internal” css though. if by “external” they (who?) mean “not on your site/ host”, then AO won’t make a any difference there, as AO only optimizes “local” (= “internal”?) CSS.

but the easiest way forward would be to provide me with your URL 🙂

Thank you for getting back to me, i had to disable it because it was messing up the theme configuration. but looks like it was a conflict with W3 Total Cache, which seems ok now.
