# is there default setting to undo permalink changes

 * I changed some permalinks on the site and now getting error 404
    message i tried
   changing it back but no joy is there any way to undo changes or will just uninstall
   and reinstall

 * Try resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting (Admin – Settings–
   Permalinks) and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file.
 * If that works, then try reading [Using_Permalinks](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks)
   before setting a custom permalink structure again.
