Is there any way to retrieve old emails?

    CF7 just sends emails. If you have access to the relevant email address on your hosting you might be able get them via Webmail or similar.

    ​​Consider using a submission storage plugin like Contact Form DB or Contact Form 7 Storage to save all your CF7 form submits to the WP database. These are often used by experienced WP users – they provide a robust record of all form submissions even when things go a little wrong.

    Just another suggestion … you can use even plugin directly from same developer as Contact Form 7 – Flamingo
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/flamingo/
    It works well and all submissions are saved to your database.
    It is simple plugin, works well after activation.
