Is there any way to hook into this plugin? | WordPress.org

Hi,

I was wondering if there was any way to hook into this plugin using my own plugin. For example I would like to have my own function execute after a single URL (or array of URLs) is purged, so I can ‘warm’ the URLs myself (specifically the REST API).

I have some filters – https://github.com/Ipstenu/varnish-http-purge/wiki/Custom-Filters

I didn’t add in hooks for the actions, though. I made https://github.com/Ipstenu/varnish-http-purge/issues/36 for this.

Usually I get the other way around, people asking me how to have the plugin trigger a cache flush in a seemingly unrelated page on update.

My requirements have changed and I think I can get away with using filters. The issue on Github you created would be nice though.

Is it also possible to specify a path in the vhp_purge_urls filter? So the equivalent of using ban req.url ~ "/somepath"?

Wouldn’t that just be the same as adding a specific URL to flush? Or am I misunderstanding the end goal here. You can already filter and add in a URL to get a specific path.
