This is a feature I would have to take some time to look into, it certainly is an interesting idea though.
Now that I am thinking about it, is that any admin would be able to change the defaults, though that shouldn’t really be an issue if communicated well amongst admins.
So I am working on this…
Lets say you have a setting where you are able to a fixed list of scoring criteria. Then when creating a new review that list shows up already pre-filled.
Can I assume a reviewer should be able to add to or remove from that predefined list?
Excellent question…
For my requirements, having a default able to be set would be enough. if a reviewer wants to then change those, I think I’m fine with it.
If it’s easy enough, then I suspect having it able to be locked unless you are given permissions to change it would be good. Whether permissions are by Role or User, I can’t say what’s best…
Thanks!
This would be a setting so only admins would be able to modify the defaults. However, I can either remove the “Add Criteria” button on new reviews or leave it.
So if I left it, a new review will have the admins fixed list of criteria that they can add to.
However, if I remove the “Add Criteria” button, new reviews will only have the admins criteria but reviewers can’t add to it.
I have added the feature in the 1.27.0
update.
Thanks for that! I think that does what I’m after.
Awesome!
OK, so under the “Book Review Score Box” section of the “Components” tab there are 2 new options. “Fixed Review Criteria” enables the feature and “Custom Criteria List” creates the fixed list of review criteria.
