[resolved] Is there a way to update existing Google Spreadsheet URL? (4 posts)

Each month we add one new row of data to our charts, it would be nice if we could just edit the Google Spreadsheet URL like the following:

    Before: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0w2amtaM1Z6cGc&single=true&gid=0&range=a1%3Ab22&output=csv

    After https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0w2amtaM1Z6cGc&single=true&gid=0&range=a1%3Ab23&output=csv

See the change from Ab22 to Ab23? Otherwise we have to go to the Spreadsheet and publish a new URL with the new ranges, or create an entirely new sheet for each chart (not preferable).

Unfortunately it is impossible to manually update all remote sources. But it is not a requirement to use google spreadsheet to create CSV files accessible remotely. You can create a file and put it in your dropbox public folder, copy its URL and use as remote CSV file for a chart. In this case you will be able to edit your csv file on your computer and changes will be automatically published on your site. :)

    Does it make sense?

P.S.: pay attention that Dropbox has its own limitations for public sharings :)

Now with Dropbox not creating Public folders for regular users (Pro users can get them), the URL in their new Sharing scheme doesn't seem to work in Visualizer.

    Is there a workaround??
