Is there a way to remove the default domain (as username) on signup?

    This problem is starting to drive me crazy. On the WordPress sign-up where the domain name is created, there is a default set as username. I have added bold text instructions that the username and domain should not be the same for security and that they should delete and create the domain that they want.

    I would guestimate that 50% of my signups pass by this because it is pre-filled in and do not change it. Then they are miserable that they have created a domain that they do not like.

    It seems to me that by removing the default would solve this. How can I accomplish this.
