Is there a way to remove the checkout with paypal on the pop up window

    We have paypal express installed, however if a customer clicks the checkout with paypal on the pop up window after adding to cart or checkout with paypal button on the view cart page the one touch paypal comes up but the customer then comes back to the BC checkout page and has to fill in all their details (kind of pointless having ONE touch if they still have to fill everything out) We are having huge problems with abandoned cart because of it.

    Is it possible for paypal checkout to open in a new window?

    Hi @albertopiazza – This is because of the way that PayPal checkout works. In your case, because you don’t show the PayPal checkout buttons on either the product page (where it’s more suited) and only show on the checkout page, I would recommend using PayPal Standard that’s built into WooCommerce.

    PayPal Checkout is designed to completely bypass your WooCommerce checkout. PayPal Standard is designed for your customers to go through the WooCommerce checkout and pay at PayPal.

    If you want to use PayPal Checkout as your only method of payment, I would recommend disabling the checkout on your WooCommerce site entirely, and have the PayPal Checkout button on the cart page.

    I’d like to bypass the website, but with a new tab not a popup. Instead the plugin opens the paypal window in popup, this is very annoying and is sometimes blocked or creates errors.

    I understand you’re not happy with the current flow of PayPal Checkout. There isn’t an option to modify the flow currently, however, I recommend logging your ideas to our ideas board: https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce?category_id=337582

    The more popular an idea becomes, the more of a priority it is for our developers to review.
