Support » Fixing WordPress » Is there a way to prevent hacking in self-hosted WordPress

  • My hosting has said that their anti-hacking program is the one that’s preventing uploading directly from wordpress. Their alternative which is FTP and then writing the URL of the image in the image box is too troublesome. Is there a way for us to bypass this or do we have to change to another hosting and install our own anti-hacking program?

  • I’d suggest ‘change of hosting’ 🙂

Or, you can try over-ride their ‘hacking program’ with some .htaccess rules… (I hope someone with better knowledge of this will help…)

    Cheers!
