Is there a way to prevent CLS?

Hi, I have a website in the works that I would only like to share the URL of with a plugin author. I notice the smart slider, after loading, increases in size once finished. This causes a delay, and layout shift. Is there something I can do to have the section/element where the smart slider code is to keep it’s shape?
