Exactly as @nickottino says. Every time I want to reorder the products one again, I have to start from scratch. After saving the product order and reopening the settings, the products are displayed alphabetically (even though they have the correct assigned sort numbers). However, any drag-and-drop of a product in the list causes the entire list to reorganize. Is there any way to preserve the product order after saving, so that when reopening, they appear in the previously saved order?
@nickottino
Hi,
Thanks for your feedback — that’s a great question!
Currently, the sorter page always loads products in their default WooCommerce order (not the last saved custom order).
That’s why it looks like you have to start from scratch each time.
At the moment, the plugin doesn’t yet reload the previously saved order when you reopen the sorter, but this feature is already on our roadmap — so that you’ll be able to adjust just one or a few products without having to reorder everything again.
For now, once you save the order, it does stay applied on the front-end (category and tag pages), even though the sorter list resets when reopening the page.
Thanks again for reporting this — it’s a useful suggestion and will help improve the next release!
Best,
Amir
Hi,@webisteann @nickottino
Thanks a lot for reporting this and confirming the behavior.
You’re absolutely right — currently, the sorter page reloads products alphabetically instead of keeping the previously saved order.
I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience 🙏
I’m reviewing this behavior and will work on a fix so the saved order is preserved when reopening the sorter page.
Thank you for your patience and for helping improve the plugin!
Best,
Amir
