Support » Plugin: YOP Poll » Is there a way to get a notification when someone takes the poll?

I think I could sort of use one poll for all 60 of my pages by inserting a custom field asking which page they’re rating, but I would then like to be able to take a look a the register and see what the rating was. Is it possible to get an email or some kind of notification that somebody’s used the poll? Otherwise, am I correct that I’d need to create 60 pages and 60 polls to keep track of the numerical rating for each page?

    Thanks!

    Hey GeoW97,

At the moment you can not receive a notification when some one uses the poll but we will take your suggestion into consideration and include this option in our next release.

Regarding your last question, you could create 60 different polls, one for each page, or use a single poll and attach a tracking id to it.

For example, for page1, you could have [yop_poll id=”1″ tr_id=”page1″]
For page 2 you can use the same poll but with a different tracking code
    [yop_poll id=”1″ tr_id=”page2″]

If you take a look in “Logs”, you have a “Tracking ID” field: if some one votes on page1, the tracking ID will be “page1”.

Also you have the option to export the information and create an excel table for your rating, based on the tracking code.

    Regards,

    YOP Team
