I was wondering if it is possible to deactivate the /page/xx/ and instead use the pagination via the query string or if it in the future will be a setting where you can choose which you want, as an override to the permalink structure activation.
The reason being that I allow to select which custom post types go in the query posts and when you remove them again on the second, third etc. page of the pagination and there are less posts then the page of the pagination, it breaks. If it where in the query string I could easily remove the pagination on removal of a post type and send the visitor back to page one.
I would rather not change the permalink structure as this would not be practical, so I’m looking for a way to remove wp-pagenavi from the permalink structure and instead use the query string.
Hope it makes sense and I appreciate anyone can give me on this.
