I am doing a lot of changing of people’s blogs, and I am wondering if there is an easier way (through phpmyadmin?) of backing up the widget content instead of using a text editor and copy and paste!
Any ideas or tips would be great!! Thanks.

  • Well phpMyAdmin in the wp_options table would give you access to the data (option names are like “widget_*” e.g. “widget_pages”) but you’d still need to save that data or change the option name to something different so it didn’t get deleted.

Wish there was a plugin to do that…

    DITTO!

I miss k2’s sidebar manager it had the option save your sidebar widgets in xml.

    after about wp ver 2.7

    K2 Sidebar Manager removed

If there is any such plugin please post it here, even i do the back of sidebar widgets manually.

Well, I have a complete list saved in the Microsoft Word.
