And one that doesn’t copy the complete post including categories to that index, but rather list titles linked to the actual post……………?
🙂
the swt retains the original permalinks to the post. 😉 no duplicate content worries from google.
So, you’re looking for a simple listing not the full post content?
http://1uthavi.adadaa.com/ada-wpmu-recent-posts-widget/
try that one.

Exactly. But not in a widget. I’m already a happy user of
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wpmu-featured-blog-widget/
but I have a ‘news section’ with updates for all ‘sections’, a news section that I promoted the feed for in the old situation (5 WP installations), but feeds to not eat from the widgets so I’m looking around for something in between Sitewide Posts and Featured Blog.
there were some kicking aroudn that did that, but they’ve been removed.
A replacement is coming tho. Like shortcodes? 😀
A very strong suggestion to modify whatever plugin you use to only index or list blogs that have ‘x’ number of posts or have a life span of over a week or so. Else you get lots of “Hello World!”‘s in there and spammers you haven’t caught yet.

Haven’t thought of that. Could be an option. Another one is suggesting my visitors to just get all feeds instead of just the news section 🙂
tdjcbe, that’s a thing indeed. I’ve been up and running for a couple of years (and all subsites are my own ‘other sections’) but indeed the notification should be deleted after a certain period.
I’ll be awaiting Andrea’s replacement 🙂
watch the blog Roy, we’ll be posting there.
