• On my website only the Home page should be viewed by the public. Any other tab, when clicked should force the visitor to login. Does WordPress have such a login? I don’t mean logging in to the WordPress Adim Page.

    Someone help me out, please.

Thank you for sending me the members link. I installed it through the plugin page, but it seems to be for logging in and out of the WP-admin Page. The Login I am trying to achieve is to allow visitors to my website to see the Home Page only and from there, clicking on any other tab on the website should require them to login with a username and password, which I want to assign. Is there such a thing in WordPress?

I tried to do this through the htaccess file on the server, which is fatcow. If I place password protection at the root level, visitors have to login before they even get to the Home Page. This I don’t want. If I place password protection on any other directory below the root level, the login screen does not come up and the site is not protected. That is why I am trying to do it through WordPress.

I also have another issue. I have a page called Residents with several child-pages under the Residents page. On the website when I hover the maouse over the Residents page all the child-pages appear. Is there a way to not show the child-pages when hovering?
