[Resolved] Is there a maximum file size to upload

  • I have just tried to upload a csv file to do an import, but it keeps getting lost somewhere.

    The first time I thought maybe I had missed something, and so I did it again, and I carefully watched as the upload reached 98%, then 99% and then 100% and then nothing !!

    This is the third upload in three days, and the difference is the file size. This one is 4,985 lines. Total csv file size 13.2MB

    The others were smaller.

  • I tried to split my upload file into 5 separate ones, each with 999 lines.

    I uploaded two of these, but stopped when I found that only 230 from 999, and 239 from the 2nd file of 999 lines, were actually uploaded from those.

    My initial test of 10 lines worked perfectly.

    I did another import, but this time trimmed each file down to 250 lines, and this did import all records. But I had to do four imports, at 250 lines a time, to get 1,000 posts done.

    It appears there is a limit that can be downloaded per file. Possibly about 250??

    @abcdiamond,

    There is no such limitation set for the plugin. It depends upon your hosting limitation and other related settings. Try to increase the memory limitation and execution time. You can also get help from your hosting support.
