Is there a listing for “Non Sponsored” or “clean” themes?

    Hi there everyone,

    Is there a theme listing service that will sort by type of license? I’m looking for themes that developers are willing to share with the community without subjecting the user to crass ads or hijacking of the footer.

    Commercial theme listings are acceptable even, but I just need a way to filter out the linkware crap that is becoming so prevalent, since they’re not listing them in the theme lists as WordPress requested, denoting when they use links and telling you what license it’s released under.

    Please allow me to clarify: I’m not talking about the links in the footers that credit the author of the theme.

    Is there a difference between theme authors hijacking footers and credit links placed in footers by theme authors?

    Any new listings (in the last 60 days or so) in Using_Themes/Theme_List have noted if they have sponsored links.

    Thanks very much MichaelH. I was hoping for a listing in which I could order by license type. I’ll just find them on my own.
