Support » Plugin: Redirection » Is there a known incompatibility with WooCommerce Tabs?

  • We have over 1,000 redirect rules specified as WordPress rules in the module. These were working fine, until we installed the WooCommerce Tab Manager ( For some reason now, in the /shop listing page of the site where all the products are listed, even though the link to a specific product is shown correctly, when clicked, it redirects to the home page.

Clicking on a tab created with the WooCommerce Tab Manager plugin appends a hash tag at the end of the product url, for example: /shop/plain-shirt#tab-materials , so could that be an issue perhaps with a wild character hash tag defined somewhere in the rules? Is there a known incompatibility with this plugin?

  • One suggestion is to change the 1,000+ rules from using the WordPress module to the Apache. However, I am weary of adding over 1,000 redirect rules in the htaccess file – that might put too much of a strain on every request coming in. What do you think?

Same problem here, whenever I ask tab manager to take over tabs on the product page, I cannot view the single product on the front end and am automatically redirected to the home page.
Just turned the plugin off, changed the url, did a couple of redirects with redirection and I’m not sure I’m going to use it again…
    Did someone sort this out?

Thread found via google with following query: woocommerce tab manager bug need to change url

    HI guys,

Were you ever able to figure this out? How did you manage?

Thanks for writing when able/if able! 🙂

Update: One approach (though not entirely a fix) is to visit Tools > Redirection > Settings > Options and set “Monitor changes to posts:” to “Don’t Monitor“.

Although the feature of monitoring “Modified Posts” will no longer happen automatically, the two plugins do perform after that.

Tip from: Known plugin and theme conflicts published by WooThemes.
