Is there a downside to Global tags?

    Hello,

    If you want Google to recognise each subsite as a separate site, isn’t it a bad idea to have global categories/tags?

    If that is correct, is it appropriate and possible to make the main blog(the index site) only aggregate the posts but not the taxonomies?

    But I don’t see that option on network wide post aggregation plugins.
