just wanted to confirm that the smartline-lite theme is hack safe? My site was hacked yesterday, however it was probably via a malicious plugin.

However I just wanted to check that the current theme is safe?

my site has been constantly hacked, despite massive efforts to seal it.

I can’t figure out how the hackers are getting in. So its always advisable to look at the theme, as well as plugins, to see if there is any vulnerability there too.

Hopefully there isn’t an issue, it was just a thought

Yes the theme is safe. Security isn’t material, like a good theme or plugin. Security is a practice that involves keeping themes, plugins and WordPress core up to date. This article has more info https://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress

It sounds like your site has been hacked once and it may have looked like it was removed, but it persisted. A hacked site is difficult to resolve. If you’ve found an easy solution then you’re still hacked.

The important thing to remember is not to just remove the symptom of the hack, such as removing spam shown on the website, but the backdoor the hacker left in to waltz straight back into your site.
