is ssl is free or not?

    I have taken domain and hosting at Godaddy website. Do i need to purchase ssl certificate or will i get it free as i purchased domain and hosting ?

    We don’t know.

    We have no formal relationship with GoDaddy, and an SSL certificate is something you get from your hosting provider, not WordPress.

    I recommend asking GoDaddy for clarification.

    Hi ryman,

    It seems yes you need to purchase SSL with them since Godaddy doesn’t offer free SSL here. There are few hosting providers that offer free SSL, so you need to purchase it. Or you can change your hosting provider, Asphostportal give SSL for free if you host your site with them. I can pretty recommend their service.
