is my sight hosted?

Hi there,
I recently created a wordpress sight with my own domain name which i purchased through wordpress. The problem is that I did this under an account i created some years ago which was a free wordpress account. I have now signed up to and installed wordpress to bluehost and i want to install plugins and use the tracking and redirection features in wordpress but i can´t find them anywhere in my dashboard! What can I do? do I need to upgrade to wordpress premium? or am I missing something really simple here?
