Is it possible to use the Blubrry PowerPress plugin in a widget area?

I have PowerPress installed, and I’d like to add it to a widget area in my theme. (I’m writing my own theme, and widgets are enabled)

The admin panel for the plugin lets me choose whether the audio player will appear above or below my content, but I want more control than that. I could use shortcodes, but I want the player to appear below the content in an excerpt, above the content in a single post page, etc. So shortcodes are not the solution for me.

In the widgets admin area, I don’t see the option to drag PowerPress into an existing widget.

Is there something I’m missing?
