    Hi there,

I’m brand new to WP and just discovering the power of this great tool associated with awesome plugins like The Events Calendar.

I created some events, but rather than having a full page, I would like to add these events below content.

Is it possible to do this with [label] so I can add the events at the bottom of my content? That would be fantastic!

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Best

  • Hi,

I wanted the same thing so I wrote a shortcode plugin.

You can download the zip file here – http://dandelionwebdesign.com/downloads/shortcode-modern-tribe/- then just upload it to your plugins.

Then just use the shortcode [ecs-list-events] where you want the list of events to display.

I have just submitted it to the WordPress repository – hopefully it will be up before the end of the week.

Thanks for chiming in Ruth! Hopefully that will help krummy out.

Krummy, you might also check out the Event Rocket plugin which can do some short code actions.

Another potential solution would be for you to use the Add HTML Before Calendar option under Events –> Settings –> Display. If you add content there, the calendar (in all it’s forms, not just a list) will display below.

    Best,
    Leah

    Hi Ruth,

Thanks a lot for this great little plugin, this is exactly what I was looking for 🙂 Great one!

@leah: thanks as well for your answer, but Event Rocket is not what I need actually. Also the Add HTML workaround is good, but not easy to manage depending on where you want to include the list of event 😉

Thanks a lot to both of you for your help, much appreciated!

@krummmy I’m happy to hear that it helped you.

It’s now in the repository – https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar-shortcode/ – Please consider giving it a rating.
