Support » Plugin: s2Member Framework (Member Roles, Capabilities, Membership, PayPal Members) » Is it possible to unprotect all protected content globally?

  • We are co-developing a site that uses s2Member. In order to find all occurrences of different media files (many of which are embedded using shortcodes) throughout the site (1000+ pages) we would like to run SiteSucker on the site to generate plain HTML pages from each site page. We can then do a multi-file search for .mp3, .mp4, .flv, etc. in those HTML pages.

SiteSucker won’t “log in” to a protected site like one that uses s2. Is there a global option to turn off s2, or temporarily make all protected content unprotected so we can run our operation? This could also be a permanent option – we can do this on a copy of the site which we don’t mind destroying for the purpose of finding all these links.

I suppose a third option would be the ability to search in WP admin for inclusion of these files, but there are a variety of embed methods used – some via plugins/shortcodes, some inline – and they come from a variety of sources – local, YouTube, Wistia, S3. So ideally we want the ability to see the site as a browser would see it – hence rendering it all out to individual HTML pages.
